Who is Steve Harrington?
That's a great question. Perhaps you have never heard of me, maybe that is because I am a regular everyday citizen just like you. I have never aspired to be in politics, I still don't, but I do aspire to make a positive change for myself and for the people around me. People just like you.
I have had the honor to serve as a general manager for quick service restaurants for over 30 years. I was selected for these restaurants by the leadership for the belief they had, knowing that I would give my all to make the business thrive and successful. I haven't ever been just the manager of the place I worked, I was the leader. I taught the people I worked with to be better, to have a passion for what they do, no matter what it was. I scrubbed floors and toilets beside them to show them that not one of us was better than the other and we all deserved respect and dignity. I made these people WANT to work together with me, not just to come in and be an employee.
I have worked in the medical field as well. Starting fresh out of high school as an Emergency Medical Technician and then working for a level one trauma center in the emergency department. I have always had a passion for people. A desire to help when I can. That is the same way I feel now. I am not running for Mayor to have a title and prestige, I am running because I have a passion to help the people in this city get the things they are looking for and deserve; Compassion, acceptance, answers!

It is time for Port Saint Lucie to be a city for the citizens. It's time to put people and families FIRST. It's time to show that leadership starts with the people, the residents and taxpayers that elect someone to represent them. Steve Harrington is YOUR leader. I am YOUR voice. It's time to put someone in the mayor's office who is thinking outside the political box and inside the best interest of what matters: our families, our children, our neighbors. It's time to elect a resident of the community and remove the politicians from office. It's time for someone to be in a position of leadership committed to promoting positive change to our city for the people that mean the most to us in this world, our families.
My Vision
Agendas serve an individual candidate not only throughout the campaign, but throughout their time in office. That's why I have a VISION for our city, because I do not want this to ever be about ME, I want it to always be about US, the community and the people I have the honor to serve.. Making Port Saint Lucie safer for our families is a priority. Uniting a community that cares about their neighbors again, people who look out for one another. Restoring faith in humanity, that proves that everyone has a voice, everyone makes a difference and everyone deserves a chance to live, laugh and love together in a place of hope, growth and promise of a better tomorrow. Building better neighborhoods. Providing a future to our children. Working to make living affordable for an average family. Giving the support needed to benefit the people AND the infrastructure that makes Port Saint Lucie the place that people want to call home.
